Product Description

We identify asbestos using Polarizing Light Microscopy in combination with Dispersion Staining technique, and Stereo Microscopy. The laboratory follows method EPA 600/R-93/116, taking extra steps to concentrate asbestos from your sample and achieve 0.1% sensitivity, which is the best in industry. Our testing methods are in strict compliance with USA and Canadian regulations.

If you have Vermiculite insulation in your home, you should assume this material may be contaminated with asbestos and be aware of steps you can take to protect yourself and your family from exposure to asbestos. Please visit Health Canada website for more information.

Safety: Wear proper asbestos-dust-respirator when collect your sample.
Sensitivity or Reporting Limit: 0.1% by weight.
Sample size: 20-50 g (full coffee cup).
Collect a representative sample by combining small sub-samples extracted from different spots and different depth of the layer.
Shipping Container: double Ziploc bags, plastic or glass jar with airtight lid.
