Asbestos is a common name for a group of naturally occurring fibrous minerals: Chrysotile, Amosite, Crocidolite, Tremolite, Anthophyllite, and Actinolite.
Our AIHA accredited laboratory analyses asbestos by Polarizing Light Microscopy in combination with Dispersion Staining technique, and Stereo Microscopy. The laboratory follows method EPA 600/R-93/116 (400 point count technique), which is the industry standard.
Safety: Wear proper asbestos-dust-respirator.
Sensitivity or Reporting Limit: 0.5% by weight.
Sample size: 1-10 g.
